When the puppies come out of the litter box, they often show an unstable movement and above all a clear form-function change, which is the reason for the strange movement pattern. In our eBook we have recorded the movement of six puppies in the age of 12, 16 and 20 weeks on video. For this purpose, we showed the motion analysis in comparison mode. You can see how the stance and swing phases, the Peak Vertical Force (PVF) and especially the mechanical symmetries in the body change, and how these manifest themselves in the movement. So that statics (forehand) and dynamics (hindquarters) can develop correctly (both anatomically and physiologically), the change in form-function must be recognized, orthopaedically and kinematically measured/controlled, and then corrected by manipulation. Thus, on one hand we maintain the best chances to prevent diseases such as HD, ED, OCD and Panosteitis in young dogs, and on the other hand we can ensure adherence to the optimal movement and activity curve for the age of the dog in question. Sufficient information on these topics can be found in the eBook.
